Why Minimis

Across the UK, many schools lack funding or infrastructure for AI. Minimis bridges the computing divide by removing fees and complexity—so that everyone can benefit from AI. Our built‑in community moderation ensures a safe space for sharing, feedback and collaboration.

Our Mission

Minimis makes AI education free, local and simple. We host lightweight, pre‑compiled models that run on any standard PC—no costly APIs or high‑end hardware needed. Backed by UCL and partners IBM and Intel, we empower students (7–18) and teachers across the UK to explore, teach and build with AI, regardless of technical background.

What You Can Do

Teachers: Incorporate models into the classroom or experiment with community creations.

Students: Download and run pre‑compiled models, share your creations, and get help from the community.

University Partners: Contribute tutorials and research, and contribute to the development of Minimis.

Our Partners

In partnership with IBM and Intel, we optimise model performance, ensure cross‑platform compatibility, and tap into world‑class research. Their expertise keeps Minimis at the forefront of accessible, classroom‑friendly AI.
